FOUNDATION SPONSORS 2026 BIKE SAFETY DAY
More than 200 bike riders gathered at Patterson Park for a Bike Safety Day on Sunday, May 3rd to enjoy a beautiful spring day and get ready for the biking season. Park residents of all ages had their tires and chains checked and seats adjusted by the expert team from Bikes, Blades and Boards (B3). Grosse Pointe Park Public Safety was on hand with free bike licenses and the Grosse Pointe Park Foundation, sponsor of the event, passed out free rechargeable bike lights and other bike safety information.
FOUNDATION SPONSORS AMERICA 250 BIKE PARADE
In honor of America’s semiquincentennial, the Grosse Pointe Park Foundation hosted the America 250 Bike Parade for Park kids ages 12 and younger. More than 250 excited participants decorated their bikes, wagons, and strollers with patriotic themes. Participants received goodie bags and prizes were awarded for best decorated bikes, best decorated wagons and best costumes. Free hot dogs and other treats were provided, courtesy of Pointe Hardware and numerous other sponsors.
The event took place in the Kercheval business district following the Park Farmers Market in the morning and just before Kercheval After 6 that evening.
